It is the place of Emilio Lussu. The place of birth and of the first political education where he knows "the last remnants of a patriarchal community, without classes and without state". Emilio lives again in his Armungia with many tangible memories (starting from the museum). And now also with the show staged in the courtyard of the house where he was born, in the Cannedu district, to which his nephew Tommaso and his partner Barbara have given new life.

In that space full of memories resting on the present and projected into the future, Pietro, Tommaso's brother, a pianist who travels the territories of jazz, and the actor and performer Felice Montervino propose, on Saturday 14 September at 18:30, "A year on the Altipiano. In the war sometimes we also sang" . Words and music that blend together to recompose the plot of the book in which the Cavaliere dei Rossomori recounts the horror of the First World War experienced on the front line alongside the infantrymen of the Sassari Brigade.

Lussu continues to be a witness to that conflict: " I have forgotten many things about the war, but I will never forget that moment . I watched my friend smile, between one puff of smoke and another. From the enemy trench, a single shot was fired. He bowed his head, the cigarette between his lips and, from a red stain, formed on his forehead, a trickle of blood flowed. Slowly, he bent over himself, and fell at my feet. I picked him up dead." Those words, with other wars that today produce mourning and destruction, are an ever-valid warning.

The show. "A year on the Plateau. During the war we also sang sometimes", with Pietro Lussu and Felice Montervino, is an original production of "Insulae Lab", already on stage in the space "Sa Casara" in Berchidda . The second time is a special moment, in the place where the human and intellectual adventure of the "Nuragic chieftain" began. The associations "Casa Lussu" and "Luna Scarlatta" have offered a contribution to the cause.
