Archaeology, singer-songwriter music, excellent winemaking, and stargazing come together in one grand event. On Saturday, September 5, 2026, starting at 7:00 PM, the evocative setting of the Adoni nuraghe in Villanova Tulo will become the open-air stage for "Archeo Music Wine," an event designed to showcase the historical and natural heritage of Sardinia through a multisensory experience.
For the occasion, the Adoni nuraghe will be illuminated with evocative LED lighting, enhancing its beauty . "Una Notte per Faber" (A Night for Faber), a tribute to the singer-songwriter who loved the island, will be performed. The evening will kick off at sunset with the concert "Una Notte per Faber," a tribute to Fabrizio De André performed by I Notturni-Duo (Andrea Filippi and Marianna Vidale) . The musical performance will retrace the masterpieces of the Genoese singer-songwriter, who moved to Sardinia, creating an emotional bridge between the singer-songwriter's music and the nuraghe's ancient stones.
The connection between Archeo Wine Music and the Nuraghe Adoni also takes on a particularly evocative significance for the history of viticulture in Sardinia . During excavations in the Adoni archaeological area, charred grape berries dating back to the 12th century BC, the early phase of the Late Bronze Age, were discovered. This discovery is considered a significant testament to the presence of vines and grape culture in Nuragic Sardinia. This extraordinary find further enhances the connection between the location and the evening's featured wine: a glass of Mandrolisai "Azzarà" from Cantina Fradiles.
After more than three thousand years, right at the foot of the nuraghe that yielded one of the oldest evidences of grape cultivation on the island, the public will be able to toast the millennia-old history of Sardinian wine . For those wishing to learn more about the site's history, a free guided tour of the Adoni nuraghe is also available, with prior reservation . Afterward, the night will be dedicated to science and the allure of the cosmos. The astronomical evening and guided stargazing will be led by astrophysicist Barbara Leo . The Archeo Music Wine experience includes a food and wine tour aimed at showcasing local products.
The initiative is made possible thanks to the support of the Regional Department of Tourism, the Fondazione di Sardegna, and the Municipal Administration of Villanova Tulo, in collaboration with Isula Eventi e Natura and the Sa Perda 'e Iddocca Tourist Consortium. For Davide Cuneo, Councilor for Culture for the Municipality of Villanova Tulo, with Archeo Music Wine, the town has the opportunity to showcase and promote a highly significant archaeological site: "We want to offer the public a reason to visit Villanova Tulo, but also to return and discover the beauty of this area, its history, and its traditions. Events like this create the perfect blend of music, archaeology, and food and wine, while also allowing local producers and accommodations to showcase themselves."
