Confirmation of the already existing 3.7% increase in Abbanoa's water tariffs and further increase of 6.2% in 2023 .

Egas approved the update of Abbanoa's water tariffs for the two-year period 2022-2023, underlining that "the plus sign applied is very slight, in clear contrast to the increases recorded in this particular historical moment".

An increase " limited so as not to burden the budgets of Sardinian families already put to the test by price increases that even exceed 100% for electricity and gas "

Despite the choice to keep costs low, Egas informs us, "both investments and the water bonus have not been negatively affected, both confirmed as planned".

« We have chosen to keep the tariffs at a level that our final user can support – says the president of Egas Fabio Albieri – because water is a primary good that must be respected. The historic moment is dramatic for Sardinia: every day the poverty line is lowered and numerous businesses close down strangled by unsustainable price increases. We have adjusted the rates but we have done so by looking for all the ways to avoid further burdening the budgets of families and companies".
