Applause in La Maddalena for the Inclusive Choir of “Together for Tomorrow”

The event in the public square has long been part of the summer events organized in La Maddalena and as usual it attracts a massive audience. It is the concert of the inclusive Choir of the Insieme per il domani Association, directed by Maestro Vincenzo La Cava, the same one who founded and directs the Voci Blues and the Orolache Choir, known in Sardinia and beyond.

Inclusive choir because it is composed of girls and boys with disabilities, their parents and other members. The last concert took place in Piazza Santa Maria Maddalena, and began with a powerful Va Pensiero, from Nabucco by Giuseppe Verdi, to end, among applause, with the more modern but equally strongly emotional Oh Happy Day.

In addition to many Maddalenini and numerous tourists, the mayor Fabio Lai, the deputy mayor Federica Porcu, the parish priest Don Andrea Domanski and the parish priest emeritus Don Domenico Degortes were present. The choir is a direct expression of the association Insieme per il domani, whose president is Lia Salvi; who has announced, for next December, the Christmas concert.

A project has already been approved and financed specifically for the children of this association and especially for their future, and work should begin in the autumn, for both daytime and night-time reception, using structures that were abandoned by the State in the past and handed over to the Municipality by the Sardinia Region, in the hamlet of Moneta.
