The goal is declared: -103 meters. This is the quota indicated by the Cagliari freediving champion, Chiara Obino, for the dive in constant weight with the monofin that tomorrow in Turkey opens her participation in the 5th CMAS outdoor world championship. The blue comes to the examination of Kas on the strength of the Italian record in the two fins (-87), scored at the end of August in Cefalù, during the Mediterranean Cup.

The trip began with a first training dive at -104, invalidated for not completing the exit protocol correctly. And with sleep difficulties, linked to the different and fast-paced daily rhythms that Obino had to make her own quickly. Compared to her colleagues, in Turkey for a month already, the work has only given her a week to acclimate to the new competition field.

"Finally I feel I have fully recovered my resources", he declared on the eve of the first descent, "I would have needed a few more days to acclimatize to the best, to be able to start training with easier dives and then increase and instead I am I had to go to my ceilings immediately having a few days available ".

The last training session, Sunday before today's break, was conditioned by technical problems: in the impossibility of making the deepest dives, she had to be content with going down to 70 meters. Just enough to keep in contact with the water, try the load compensation protocol and make an intense, albeit short, ascent.

The world championship also includes diving with two fins on Saturday 9 October.
