A young Antonio Gramsci, private, intimate, and human. Told by Teresina, the last of the Gramsci sisters and with whom Antonio was closest. On Sunday at 5 pm, at the Spazio Tev in Sassari, on Via De Martini, the Anfiteatro Sud presents "Everything except Gramsci," starring Marta Proietti Orzella and Renata Manca, directed by Susanna Mameli.
Loosely based on "Le donne di casa Gramsci" by Mimma Paulesu Quercioli (Antonio's niece and Teresina's daughter), the show explores a lesser-known, familiar side of the great intellectual, offering the opportunity to question how intertwined a man's life is with the lives of others, to the point of being a reflection, an extension, a continuation of them in gestures, ideals, and expectations.
Teresina gives us a young Antonio who, fragile and determined, accepts the challenges of fate without hesitation, with the women of the house who support and love him.
The show also pays homage to Gramsci's mother, Giuseppina Marcias, who, in the face of great adversity, rolled up her sleeves and continued to work.
