The Oristano composer Antonello Manca , director of the Civic School of Music of Villacidro , won the first international composition prize "All'Annunciation" yesterday in Sarteano in Tuscany with his unpublished work for violin and orchestra " Anima spirat lucem ", dedicated to the great violinist Felice Cusano , who was Manca's teacher as well as a source of inspiration for the piece.

The award, organized by the artistic direction of the September music festival of the same name, was held in collaboration with Mulph Edizioni and the Sarteano Philharmonic Society . The organizers promoted the competition "with the aim of promoting and disseminating high quality musical compositions and involving the local population in the artistic beauties inspired by the annunciation".

The competition, open to composers of all nationalities and without age limits, is aimed at unpublished works that have never been performed in public. No limits even to genre, trend or musical form.
