There are 18 candidates in the administrative elections on Sunday considered "unpresentable" by the Anti-Mafia Commission, according to the self-regulation code of parties and the Severino law. The audience of candidates considered by the Commission is 19,782 names, a “record number”.

The figure was announced by the President of the Commission Nicola Morra , "with the necessary premise that some corrections have also arrived in the afternoon and that we will correct the judgments of unpresentability also on Monday".

Two are from Calabria, two from Puglia, five from Lazio ( including a candidate for mayor ), one from Friuli, two from Campania, four from Sicily, one from Veneto and one from Emilia.

The examination of the electoral lists carried out involved 57 municipal councils, 4 regional capitals (Genoa, L'Aquila, Catanzaro and Palermo) and 22 provincial capitals. In 14 Regions.

"The number just indicated - said Nicola Morra - is the result of the checks carried out thanks to the provisions of the code of ethics that this Commission has given itself in respect of the voters. I want to remind you that this self-regulation code was voted on by the whole Commission and is representative of all the parties that wrote and voted on it ".

In Palermo there are 4 unpresentable: three from the center-right (Totò Lentini, Giuseppe Milazzo and La Mantia), one for the Democratic Party (Giuseppe Lupo).
