We will talk about anti-fascism and sardism tonight at the Fondazione di Sardegna auditorium in via San Salvatore da Horta in Cagliari starting at 5pm.

At the center of the meeting, the conference and the presentation of the book published by Gaspari Editore “Camillo Bellieni ed Emilio Lussu. Southernism, Sardinianism and Anti-fascism from the first post-war period to the authoritarian turn” by Alberto Monteverde and Paolo Pozzato with a presentation by Christian Solinas and a preface by Aldo Accardo.

The essay was edited thanks to the patronage of the Presidency of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia and the contribution of the Sardinia Foundation.

In addition to Monteverde, Cagliari historian and journalist, scientific director of the "L'Isola in Orbace" project, Giacomo Spissu , President of the Sardinia Foundation, the Governor Christian Solinas , the Councilor for Culture of the Municipality of Cagliari Maria Dolores will participate in the conference Picciau , the President of the Sardinia Major Events Committee Aldo Accardo , the President of the “Giuseppe Dessì” Foundation, one of the most authoritative scholars of Sardinianism and municipal councilor in the capital Antonello Angioni and the director of ITASAC Marina Moncelsi .

Moderating the interventions was the ANPI President of the Province of Oristano , Carla Cossu .

During the evening, the actress Maria Luisa Businco will interpret the poem "Sardigna amada" by the Sardinian poet Venanzio Mascia of Las Plassas.

The presentation of the volume is part of the cycle of events foreseen by the research and communication project “L'Isola in orbace. Birth and affirmation of fascism in Sardinia in the thought of Antonio Gramsci, Camillo Bellieni and Emilio Lussu. 1919 - 1926 From the post-war years to the authoritarian turn”.

The project, curated and implemented by the Historical Modeling Club of Cagliari with the contribution of the Sardinia Foundation, is dedicated to the study and in-depth analysis of the events and figures that favored the birth and affirmation of the fascist movement in Sardinia on the centenary of the March on Rome.

Particular attention is dedicated to the political action, to the projects and ideals that the extraordinary figures of Camillo Bellieni, Emilio Lussu and Antonio Gramsci were able to put in place in favor of the rebirth of Sardinia and in order to counter Fascism and its violence .
