"An archaic and uncivilized practice," says the party's regional coordinatorPer restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
Keeping dogs tied to a chain is an "archaic and uncivilized practice, not worthy of a people that respects animals". A provision to prohibit this treatment was promoted by the League and presented to the regional council of Sardinia, as explained by the deputy and coordinator of the party on the island, Dario Giagoni. He adds: "Recourse to similar practices, which bind animals and prevent them from moving freely, has also been the cause, for example in cases of forest fires, of injury or death of the same, as they are unable to escape".
A speech that Giagoni considers «fundamental not only to ensure a better quality of life for animals, but also to mark a strong cultural transition on the theme of respect and coexistence with them. I hope that there will be broad agreement on the provision, and I want to thank the National Animal Welfare League Manager for having promoted the initiative throughout the past legislature".
