Andrea Pirlo will be the new Sampdoria coach. The former coach of Karagumruk in Turkey has reached an agreement with the Sampdoria club after Fabio Grosso had definitively declined the proposal of the patron Radrizzani last night.

For Pirlo, who has overtaken the other option represented by Farioli, a two-year contract is ready with an option for a third season.

The former midfielder, among others, of Milan and Juventus, is thus called upon to revive the Sampdoria returning from a nightmare season that ended with the last place in the Serie A championship.

Two experiences on the bench for Pirlo. In 2020/21 he took over Juventus and, despite winning the Supercoppa Italiana and Coppa Italia, he put an end to the streak of nine consecutive championships of the black and white team. A not exciting year, Juve didn't confirm it and after a year of inactivity he moved to Turkey, to Karagumruk: disappointing seventh place and consensual termination of the contract.
