At 12.15 on a happier Easter Monday than ever, Andrea Mura touched the soil of Sardinia again. He left five months ago, in early November, aboard Vento di Sardegna to accomplish the feat of a lifetime.

Today he returns as a "winner", after an undertaking that he does not hesitate to define as a miracle: he circumnavigated the globe under sail, without assistance and without stopping, in 120 days, the shortest time among the 16 participants (4 already on arrival, 9 already retired) of the Solo Global Challenge, even the "compensated time" sees him third in the standings. Not bad: he became the fifth Italian and the first Sardinian to sail solo around the world, rounding Cape Horn. All this despite the fact that his participation was in doubt until the end due to the lack of funds (but it seems that the Region's contribution will arrive in the end) and consequently his preparation and that of the boat were certainly not optimal.

There were some friends waiting for him at the airport, but passing travelers also stopped him to compliment him and take a photo with him. First commitment: the Unipol Domus, where the homage of Cagliari and the rossoblù public awaits him.
