On Friday evening her mother Edi Aringhieri , 84, originally from Ponsacco (Pisa), died in the Pontedera hospital , where she had been hospitalized for days due to the deterioration of her health.
It was the artist's collaborators who made the announcement on social media: "It is with great regret - we read in the post - that our staff announces the death of Mrs. Edi Aringhieri Bocelli, Andrea's mother. all of us. She left her earthly home after a long and extraordinary life to join her beloved husband, Sandro, in Heaven. All our hearts are with Andrea and Veronica, Alberto and Cinzia, and the entire Bocelli family right now ".
