A special collateral event of the Venice Film Festival, the Kinéo Award, conceived and directed by Rosetta Sannelli, president of the Kinéo Cultural Association, has reached its 23rd edition. The first two awards for the 2025 edition have been announced: the Young Revelation Award goes to Andrea Arru , co-star of The Boy in the Pink Pants , and Clotilde Esposito , iconic face of the cult series Mare Fuori .
As the citation states: "These are two actors who, despite their very young age, have captured the attention of audiences and critics alike with intense, authentic, and deeply emotional performances. The award celebrates emerging talent in Italian cinema and television, recognizing not only the quality of their acting but also their ability to truthfully portray the complex world of the new generations."
For eighteen-year-old Andrea Arru from Ploaghe, this is yet another accolade in a career that has established him as one of the best and most popular young actors in both Italian cinema and fiction. His latest television role is a new addition to the cast of "I Cesaroni 7," directed by Claudio Amendola.
Supported by the DGCA (General Directorate for Cinema and Audiovisual) of the Ministry of Culture, the event, hosted by Luca Calvani and Alexandra Dinu, will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2024, at 9:00 pm in the splendid setting of the Hotel Ca' Sagredo in Venice.
