"Game of Thrones," "True Detective," "The Sopranos," and "Boardwalk Empire," to name just a few of HBO's greatest hits. Now, a Sardinian actor has landed a role in a series produced by the American network: Andrea Arru. The eighteen-year-old from Ploaghe has been cast in "The House of Gonzaga," an Italian-American co-production directed by Gianni Costantino.

Among the scant leaks, there's talk of time travel. A group of American teenagers on vacation stumble upon clues to an ancient mystery connecting the present to the past. Between first loves, family feuds, and extraordinary adventures, they find themselves embroiled in a mystery that will take them to the heart of the Renaissance.

As you might guess from the title and the location of some shots (Mantua), the film will focus on the famous Gonzaga family, protagonists of Italian and European history from the 14th to the 17th century.

Certainly a great opportunity on the international market for Andrea Arru, who in Italy is now consecrated as one of the best young actors, thanks to the films "Glassboy" and "The Boy with the Pink Pants" and the series "Di4ri" and "Una famiglia perbene".
