There are the grey profiles of the first mines and the images of the suffering of the men and women who often led a miserable life of toil, misery and hunger, but coal was their only economic sustenance.
The exhibition that is hosted in via Gavorrano in Bacu Abis until August 31st is truly a mine of history and information: it is entitled “Nero in Minino” and represents a treasure chest of culture. It has a large collection of photos that tell the story of Bacu Abis from 1853, which then became the mining village par excellence when many years later, in 1938, the city of Carbonia was inaugurated and Bacu Abis became a hamlet rich in history.
The exhibition is enriched and developed together with another valuable exhibition, called “C'era una volta una buccia”, by Paola Caria, which presents her masterpieces, born from creativity and the art of recycling.
