The Stintino Tonnara Museum is hosting a meeting on Tuesday, September 1st at 7:00 PM, dedicated to the painter Ausonio Tanda, marking the centenary of his birth. This is an opportunity to retrace his artistic journey and reflect on the mark he left on Sardinian culture and art.
Different voices and perspectives will tell the story, capturing not only the artist but also the man, in his relationships, his teachings, and his connection with those close to him. Speakers will include Stintino Mayor Rita Limbania Vallebella, Maria Paola Dettori, director of the Pinacoteca di Sassari, and museum curator Silvia De Franceschi.
Their reflections will be interwoven with the testimonies of Franco Carenti, a painter and Tanda's student, Michele Poddighe, a student and friend, and his grandchildren, Sandro Ruju and Paola Tanda. Through these stories, the public will rediscover the artist from complementary perspectives: those who studied his work, those who learned from his teachings, those who shared his friendship, and those who preserve his family memories.
During the meeting, it will also be possible to visit the exhibition of works the artist donated to the museum: a unique opportunity to admire his work up close and appreciate its artistic and human value.
