Amazon increases entry pay for logistics network employees by 8%.
From 1 October, thanks to the salary increase that is part of the periodic salary review carried out by the American e-commerce giant, the entrance salary - the multinational says in a press release - will go from 1,550 to 1,680 euros gross per month.

The new entry salary is therefore 8% higher when compared to the standards set by the National Transport and Logistics Contract.
"We have always worked to be the most customer-oriented company in the world, but not only. We also want to be the best employer and the safest place to work," explained Stefano Perego, VP Amazon EU Operations.

Since its arrival in Italy in 2010, Amazon has invested over six billion euros creating more than 12,500 new permanent jobs in over 50 sites across the country.

This year the distribution centers in Novara and Cividate al piano (Bergamo) have already entered into operation, to which the sorting center in Spilamberto, in the province of Modena, will soon be added.
