The rumors of an important engagement from Discovery are increasingly insistentPer restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
Amadeus would be ready to leave Rai to move to Discovery : the rumors , which have been circulating for weeks , about the farewell of the host , who has already communicated informally to the top management of Viale Mazzini his intention to do not renew the contract expiring at the end of August.
Waiting for him with open arms would be Warner Bros Discovery which would thus score a new coup after the hiring of Fabio Fazio .
Anticipated a few days ago by Dagospia, the rumors about the sensational exit of Amadeus are therefore becoming more and more concrete. And even my friend Fiorello , albeit with his usual ironic tone, alluded to " changes taking place" . I'm not authorized to say anything, but I'm just telling you that Amadeus went up to the Hill to communicate about something...".
Courting King Midas of ratings - fresh from a five-year winning streak in Sanremo, record holder of prime time access - is Discovery, ready to bring him to the Nine with a rich multi-year contract for a daily game show : a loyalty-building appointment for the public, and therefore particularly attractive also for advertising investors, with whom the presenter has built his iron pact with viewers on Rai1 - with Soliti Ignoti and a renewed Affari Tuoi, bringing the game of parcels even above 30% share.
The well-tested Soliti Ignoti , owned by Endemol-Banijay, whose rights with Rai would also be expiring, could also be part of the project that aims to enrich Nove's schedule, strengthening competition for generalist broadcasters. However, the rumors about the possible involvement of the host as head of the channel's entertainment would not be confirmed.
And while Mediaset has already called itself out - despite full professional respect for Amadeus - there would still be other players at the window.
On the Rai front, if in the meantime the future of the festival is yet to be written - with all the names ranging from Carlo Conti to Alessandro Cattelan - according to Dagospia, Stefano De Martino is being considered to take over the baton of Affari Tuoi.
Fiorello has his say on this too: «Will the government have more space on TV? I'm just telling you that the parcels, if one day they no longer belong to Amadeus, will be delivered by Minister Lollobrigida."
