The “Alopecia Areata Day” event returns to San Giovanni di Dio where the specialists of Dermatology of the AOU of Cagliari , directed by Professor Laura Atzori, will provide information on the disease and carry out free consultations, without reservation, on Friday 29 November from 3pm to 6pm in via Ospedale 46 (secondary entrance in the alleyway).
Alopecia is an autoimmune disease that affects the hair appendages, leading to a progressive loss of hair all over the body. "At San Giovanni di Dio - says Dr. Silvia Sanna, the person in charge of the dedicated clinic - we have been dealing with this disease for many years and we have the possibility of prescribing new therapies".
Dermatology adheres to the national prevention campaign on alopecia , organized by the patient association "ALOPECIA and Friends", with information and consultation activities together with the support of the association that takes care of welcoming citizens during the day.
