Great success at the Gavì Ballero civic theatre in Alghero for " Lo Barber" Angel Maresca , who presented his latest album accompanied by the band formed by Claudio Gabriel Sanna (guitar and mandola), Paolo Zuddas (percussion), Dario Pinna (violin), Salvador Maltana (double bass) and Josep M. Cols (piano and accordion).

Àngel Maresca (Alghero, Sardinia, 1944) is a singer-songwriter, singer and guitarist from Alghero, specialized in traditional and popular music. Lo Barber has always been one of the most active activists for the Algherese language and popular culture in the Catalan city of Sardinia.

In 2024, to celebrate his 80th birthday, he joined forces with the singer-songwriter, musician and composer from Alghero Claudio Gabriel Sanna. Together with him and his usual musicians, they recorded an album that collects the best songs of the Barber. A record work entitled Retrobament , which aims to be a tribute to the historic retrobament of 1960 between the people of Alghero and the Catalans. Love songs, songs of the sea, stories of characters linked to the culture of Alghero, work songs, reaching as far as touching on social issues.

The concert was organized by the Plataforma per la Llengua, the Obra Cultural de l'Alguer and the Ofici de l'Alguer de la Delegació del Govern a Itàlia de la Generalitat de Catalunya, with the patronage of the Alghero Foundation.
