Seven thousand people gathered in Piazzale della Pace for the first of three New Year's Eve concerts. A special opening for the edition celebrating the 30th anniversary of Sardinia's iconic New Year's Eve event, with the eagerly awaited Raf concert, which kicked off the anniversary edition's "magical nights," confirming the event as one of the island's most anticipated.

An extraordinary spectacle, with spectators coming from all over Sardinia, transformed the heart of the city into an open-air arena, animated by the artist's timeless hits, Self Control, Infinito, Cosa resterà degli anni '80 and Sei la più bella del mondo.

Songs that have accompanied audiences of all ages on a musical journey of great emotional impact.

Today, the show is back (doors open at 8 pm), and the entire stage will be dedicated to the very young. Straight from the heart of Italian wave music, Kid Yugi, one of the hottest names of the moment, arrives in Alghero. Born in Massafra, Puglia, he has won over everyone with his raw, lyrical, and cinematic style, blending street rhymes and dark references into a unique mix.

Also performing on the same evening will be the young Sardinian rapper Low-Red, real name Mario Serra, originally from Sassari and leader of the Nuova Sardegna collective.

New Year's Eve is instead entrusted to Gabry Ponte, who will transform the heart of the city into a gigantic dance floor under the stars for a memorable night of dancing.

The 30th edition of Cap d'Any de l'Alguer is organised by the Alghero Administration and the Alghero Foundation in collaboration with Shining Production, with the contribution of the Sardinia Region and the active involvement of the local cultural, artistic and associative world.
