Alghero lands in the United States with “Llencols de aigua” (sheets of water) , a large-scale installation created by the internationally renowned stylist and artist Antonio Marras with Maria Lai, a work that will be presented in Cold Spring, New York, from May 17 to July 28.

The news made former mayor Marco Tedde proud, also because the event and the installation were born in Alghero in 2003, organized and financed by the Planning Office of the Alghero Administration with the contribution of Sella & Mosca and Domenico Manca.

Its first outing was held at the renovated ex Caval Marì in the presence of dozens of correspondents from the major Italian and foreign newspapers, who gave Alghero glossy covers and pages. "A unique opportunity for territorial promotion for Alghero," Tedde recalls.

«After the event organized in 2003 by the Administration of Alghero, the work was presented at the Triennale di Milano in 2016 and in Matera in 2019.
