The Festival “Mediterranea. Cultures, exchanges, passages” will arrive in July, but Alghero is already preparing in the next few days to welcome the 2025 edition of the literary Festival organized by AES - Associazione Editori Sardi with a double preview: the presentation of the book La pastora by Alberto Capitta on June 10 at 7 pm at the Cyrano bookshop and a gastronomic-literary performance dedicated to Antoine de Saint-Exupéry at the Movida restaurant on June 20 at 8:30 pm.

On Tuesday 10 June at 7 pm, the Cyrano bookshop will host the presentation of Alberto Capitta's latest novel, La pastora , published by Il Maestrale: in contemporary Italy, under a depressive cloud caused by the shortage of meat that the people cannot satisfy, "la pastora", the protagonist of the story, appears on the political scene and manages to reach the leadership of the government. The presentation will be entrusted to Elias Vacca, in dialogue with the author.

On Friday 20 June at 8:30 pm at the Movida restaurant, at the Bastioni Magellano, there will be a gastronomic-literary meeting by reservation called “Breakfast with Antoine de Saint-Exupéry”, inspired by the Algerian frequentations of the pilot and author of the famous story The Little Prince, a revisitation of a famous banquet organized on 28 May 1944 in the bay of Porto Conte. The organizers have developed a proposal that ranges from the Berber tradition to the Sardinian one, along a union based on the contamination and exchange between different Mediterranean cultures. The meeting, included in the section “Literary menus. Mediterranean culture and food”, will be attended by the AES president Simonetta Castia, Daniele Sardu of the Movida restaurant, the historian of gastronomy Giovanni Fancello and Tommaso Sussarello of the Accademia del Lievito Madre. During the evening there will be readings by Stefano Resmini.

To participate in the evening, by reservation only, you must write to associazioneaes@gmail.com or call 3287694678.
