"I left the show business by choice and I am satisfied with my decision".

Alessia Merz, 47, former girl of "Non è la Rai" and then successful showgirl between the nineties and the early 2000s at "Striscia la Notizia", "Meteore" and "Quelli che il calcio", has long been " retired "in private life, dedicating herself to the family she formed with her husband and former footballer Fabio Bazzani. They live in Zola Predosa, in the province of Bologna.
“I met Fabio, after a year we got married and then our two children arrived immediately - he tells Corriere della Sera -. I was so excited about this new phase of my life that three or four years went by in an instant, with different and beautiful emotions. We wanted a family and we built it. The exit from the world of entertainment was deliberate and natural ".

Today, he continues, “we both also appreciate being at home. We prefer the free-range restaurant to the chic place where we can sign two more autographs. We like being Alessia and Fabio. The top of our worldliness are the summer holidays in Milano Marittima ".

Bazzani actually continues to work, he is on Sinisa Mihajlovic's staff at Bologna. Instead, she chose to put a point: sometimes, she admits, “I may miss the idea of doing something that allows me to put myself back in the center, but my life today is inseparable from that of my family. When I do some work for a couple of days I realize that I no longer have the mentality I used to be. There are also important proposals for reality shows: they asked me to participate in 'Peking Express' and also in the edition that has just started of 'L'Isola dei Famosi'. But I couldn't stay away from Fabio and the boys for many months: the house could burn down! ”.

As for the experience of “Non è la Rai”, “unlike other colleagues I will never deny it”. It was “a training ground for life to find myself competing with a hundred girls to get a shot. Not to mention the complaints of parents lurking behind the scenes like hyenas. Things have changed, but in reality they have also remained the same ”.
