A legendary sheriff capable of hitting two different targets with his guns. A love story but also a spiritual one. A metaphysical western as its author, Alessandro Baricco, defined it.

The Turin writer's novel has also become a show that is touring Italy. “Abel Concerto” will arrive at the Teatro Verdi in Sassari on November 26th as part of the 5th literary festival “Until reading me crazy - Music between the pages” organized by Le Ragazze Terribili, who are collaborating with Mister Wolf for this event.

Baricco will be on stage together with three musicians, Cesare Picco, Roberto Tarasco and Nicola Tescari, to read and "play" 7 chapters of his latest book (Abel, Feltrinelli Editore).

The Turin writer explains: «I felt like bringing Abel's sound to the stage, I imagined a band capable of making those pages become a sound experience. What I can do and will do is read them always looking for their sound before their meaning and what I asked the three musicians was to bring my voice into a 90 minute long soundscape. I chose them because I like their work, because I like them. I'm sure they will take you where I want to go."

Abel Concerto is a Savà Produzioni Creative and Feltrinelli production, in collaboration with Scuola Holden. It is one of the events with which the Holden School celebrates its first 30 years of life in 2024.
