Black choker, tight pace, low gaze: Alessandra Amoroso enters the roof of the Ariston Theater for the usual press conference with a letter in hand. And we immediately realize that something is wrong.

«Before moving on to your questions - he begins - given that a few things have happened in my life in the last year and a half, I wanted to write them down because I didn't want to lose pieces along the way. And so I start reading."

For ten minutes the 37-year-old singer from Salento vomits words of anger, a distressing account of what she has suffered in about a year and a half. That is, from   when a selfie denied to a fan, complete with a video that ended up on social media and went viral, started the well-known media pillory : «I felt overwhelmed by situations that in 15 years I had never found myself having to face. An avalanche of hatred hit me overnight. I'm not talking about memes, which I've always joked about. But serious insults and death threats came to me every day ."

Then the list: "You still talk, but don't you disgust yourself?", "Sold", "Do you have some disorder", "What a shitty woman... you're a disgrace to your parents". From that moment «I decided to move away. I needed to take time to find balance. I ran away to Colombia and throughout the time I was there there was never a moment when I said to myself that I wanted to return. I felt the need to stay away."

Until, in February 2023, «after a call from my best friend I told myself I had to return to Italy and face what I had left behind. When I returned I resumed my psychotherapy journey and it wasn't easy. But little by little it helped me find a new perspective and I got closer to music again ."

“Up to here”, written with Takagi and Ketra, tells of his journey of awareness and his desire for redemption. Like Sally «I found myself thinking that I no longer want to go to war» but now «I feel like a new person and I have learned to welcome the bad, because the bad exists. I decided to turn my head and look at what is beautiful next to me."
