Chamber music takes center stage in Sassari on Sunday at 6:30 pm. The Franciscan Library of Santa Maria di Betlem (entrance from Via Artiglieria 1) will host a concert by the “ Alena & Josep Duo ,” the first event in the “Concerts in the Library” series.

The ensemble consists of guitarist Josep Manzano and cellist Alena Tikhmanovich , both from Spain. A close-knit professional duo, active since 2022, they successfully blend the sounds of cello and guitar in a refined dialogue, spanning a broad time span from Baroque repertoire to the twentieth century.

The exhibition is held under the artistic direction of maestro Laura Cocco , and is organized by the Contrapunctum ETS Association with the patronage of the Municipality of Sassari, the collaboration of the Library of the Convent of Santa Maria di Betlem and the Ars Aurelia Association.
