Aldo Cazzullo tells about the Battle of Sanluri
An exciting ride between past and futureIt was supposed to be a journey through the history of Sardinia, starting from Sa Battalla and Dante, up to the birth of the Italian State.
The conversation with the journalist and writer Aldo Cazzullo, author of best-selling essays on the Bel Paese, and highly followed host of the television program on La7 “Una giornata particolari”, was much more: an exciting ride between past and future that, starting from the events of the Sanluri fortress, a precious architectural treasure and a gem among the monumental jewels present on the Island, among the most visited by tourists, and from the Dantean narrations of the Divine Comedy, of which he is a profound expert, arrived up to the current military tragedies determined by an intricate international situation on dramatic war scenarios that involve Ukraine and Palestine, passing through the salient stages of Sardinian events from Eleonora D'Arborea to the birth of the Sardinian Piedmontese Kingdom, progenitor of today's Italy.
Aldo Cazzullo narrates, interviewed for the occasion by the actress and journalist Anna Brotzu, compelling stories and extraordinarily lively chapters of history made current by parallels and references to today's society.
A great event to close the 14th edition of “Sa Battalla”, a highly evocative event organized by the Municipality of Sanluri in collaboration with the Pro Loco, the Association of Local Authorities for Entertainment, the Cedac / Multidisciplinary Circuit of Live Entertainment in Sardinia and the city associations for the “Historical Reenactment of the Battle of Sanluri”.
"Our commitment to hosting national-level personalities in Sanluri continues, who will talk live with the public to talk about Sa Battalla - declared the mayor of Sanluri Alberto Urpi - For our territory these are experiences that until a few years ago seemed impossible: to see people of this caliber live you had to go far away. Now these moments are repeated periodically and so, after having hosted Alessandro Barbero and Roberto Giacobbo in the past years, it was a great pleasure to have a personality so appreciated by the public like Aldo Cazzullo".
At the end of the signing event and a guided tour of the wonderful Castle that the journalist wanted to do to see first-hand the beauty of such an important historical site and always valorized to the fullest both by the property and by the Municipal Administration. Before leaving, now after midnight, Cazzullo's greeting to the readers of L'Unione Sarda, tonight at 8 pm he will be on stage in Nora with Moni Ovadia and Giovanna Famulari for the Festival La Notte dei Poeti.
