The Chamber also approved article 19 of the settlement, i.e. the one which allocates thirty million euros for the reorganization of strategic shareholdings in the airport transport sector for the realization of the necessary investments. In practice, the Council explained, to allow the Region to take on a key role in the process of merging the Sardinian ports.
But the green light does not clarify, at least from the opposition's point of view, the real reason for the allocation . «Who told you that thirty million euros are needed? For what? We would like this issue to be discussed openly. Why set aside resources today if there is a change from 500 million in October, why don't you wait for the feasibility study envisaged in the second paragraph?", asked Fausto Piga (FdI) in the Chamber. Even for the leader of the Reformers Umberto Ticca "it remains the problem of transparency and then of timing: it's one thing to join a company with 2%, it's another to join it with 12. But now you don't know what percentages you want to arrive at. Yet you still allocate 30 million that would be needed for real emergencies." First, Ticca claims, "we need to proceed with a feasibility study, then with a clear horizon we allocate the resources".
Transport councilor Barbara Manca replied for the council: «There is nothing hidden. This Council is part of a discussion that has already begun. At present, we still need to understand what role the Sardinia Region is able to play in the airport system. And the resources dedicated to the feasibility study (170 thousand euros) go in this direction. Now, however, we cannot go into the details of the use of 30 million: the matter is complex."
The response did not leave the opposition satisfied. "You are navigating in the dark," Piga said after the councilor's intervention.
