The Region must have an important weight in the management of the three airports, it cannot leave the choices on the development of mobility in Sardinia in the hands of private individuals.

On this everyone agrees. On the rest, methods and exercise of prerogatives, the long debate in the regional council on the merger of the airports of Olbia and Alghero and on the process underway for the privatization of Cagliari did not lead to a unified position and a shared document.

Yesterday the session lasted five hours. Christian Solinas handed the ball to Transport councilor Antonio Moro and didn't show up : an absence underlined several times not only by the opposition, but also by exponents of the centre-right.

Moro retraced the last stages of relations between the Region, the airport management companies and F2i, then replied at the end of the long debate. For the commissioner, who claimed that he hadn't turned around, " it is important that the Region holds at least 10% of the shares, because in this way it has the possibility of requesting the convening of the shareholders' meeting ".

Massimo Zedda (Progressives) attacked the governor Solinas: " It is impossible to think that he did not know what was happening, if that were the case it would mean that the institutions count for nothing, no private individual would act without institutional interlocutions ".

The behavior of the president according to the pentastellato Roberto Li Gioi is "unspeakable": "He has been disinterested in the transport sector for years".

But what ignited the sparks were the words of the Pd councilor Giuseppe Meloni: " The commissioner in March was in favor of the operation and now he has turned around ".

In the majority , the exponents of Forza Italia Alessandra Zedda and Marco Tedde have deviated a bit from the line : «No prejudice against private individuals, but if privatization must be - explained Zedda -, that it take place according to the national and Community regulations in force with an opinion knowledgeable and informed public. The former mayor of Alghero turned to Solinas: "It is clear that the president must indicate the direction and I am sure he will."

At the end of the debate, Prime Minister Michele Pais was only able to certify the "crystallization" of the political positions, no proposal for an official and unitary document .
