Airport merger: "Unclear aspects of the Region's participation in the project."
Thus the regional prosecutor of the Court of Auditors Valeria Motzo, also criticizing the "organizational upheavals that have affected the company's top management"Video di Stefano Fioretti
«Aspects that are currently still unclear».
This is how Valeria Motzo, the regional prosecutor of the Court of Auditors, spoke about the Sardinian airport integration project and the thirty million euros the Region intends to allocate for a new stake in the holding company set to control the management companies of the various airports.
"The Prosecutor's Office is following the matter closely," also in light of the negative opinion issued, at the request of the Chamber of Commerce of Cagliari and Oristano, by the regional control section of the Court of Auditors with a resolution dated 2023. This is just one of the passages from the brief presented this morning by the prosecutor before the judgment on the regional budget being approved by the joint sections of the Court of Auditors.
Among the critical issues highlighted, in addition to the four months of provisional operation at the beginning of 2025 which "had undeniable impacts on the implementation of the planned interventions", is the high percentage of school dropouts (13.6%, well above the national average).
Regarding healthcare: the massive use of resources fails to address the chronic problems plaguing the system, including waiting lists. Criticism is also expressed regarding the "organizational upheavals that have impacted top management." These interventions have resulted in "managerial instability" that has had the effect of "demotivating healthcare workers."
