Agriumbria 2025: a slew of prizes for the Island's breeders

Sardinian companies in the livestock sector on display at the 56th edition of Agriumbria, the national exhibition of agriculture, livestock farming and food held from 28 to 30 March in Bastia Umbra, in the province of Perugia.
At the event, the Island confirmed itself as one of the leading regions in the sector, with important results obtained by Charolaise and Limousine cattle and Sardinian sheep . Many awards were obtained by the island breeders.
Here are the prize details:
- At the 12th National Show of the ANACLI Genealogical Book of the Charolaise breed “Ubaldo” of the Agrentu Soc. Agr. of Ruinas (OR) was awarded as Junior champion.
- In the categories, the winners are Valerian in the 13/16 month old males by Abeltino Maddalena Paola of Arzachena (SS) , Ubaldo of Agrentu Soc. Agr. of Ruinas (OR) in the 16/20 month old males category, Ultrabella of Agrentu Soc. Agr. of Ruinas (OR) in the 16/20 month old females category and Primula of Fele Luca of Calangianus (SS) in the Cows category.
- At the 20th National Show of the ANACLI Genealogical Book of the Limousine breed, the bull Thor of the TRE G of Falchi Viviana Franca of Olbia (SS) was crowned senior champion and winner of the 24/36 month male category while Pardi of Asara Marco of Olbia (SS) won the category of bulls over 36 months. Nirma of Geromino Francesco of Palau (SS) won the cow section while Geromino Francesco of Palau (SS) with Rose des V also won the category of cows with calf in tow.
- Again, in the Sardinian sheep competitions, the Sechi Gianfranco Antonio e Mario Agricultural Society of Ittireddu (SS) won the Rams over 24 months category, while the F.lli Bulleddu Agricultural Society of Olbia (SS) won the First-birth sheep with lactation in progress category.
"Also in this edition of Agriumbria - comments Luciano Useli Bacchitta, president of AARSardegna - the 20 participating island livestock companies have held high the name of our Island . We are very satisfied with the results achieved and we congratulate all the participants who, however, face great sacrifices to be present at events like that of Agriumbria".
