The Municipality of Aggius has published the announcement for the 20th edition of the "Tales of Gallura and Corsica" competition, an initiative dedicated to promoting the Gallura and Corsican language and traditions. The jury is chaired by Andea Muzzeddu.

The competition is open to short stories in the Sardinian-Gallura language and its variants, provided they are unpublished and have never received a prize at other events. There are two distinct sections: "Stories from Gallura" and "Stories from Corsica." The Gallura section is also divided into youths aged 10 to 17 and adults aged 18 and over. Each participant may submit only one work, which must be submitted anonymously. The submission must be sent no later than September 10, 2026, to the following address: XX Premio "Aggju" - Cónti Gadduresi e Cóssi - 2026, C/O Comune di Aggius, via P. Paoli, 39 - 07020 Aggius, or to protocollo@comuneaggius.it. Short stories from Corsica, reserved for contestants residing on that island, must be sent – using the same method – to the address indicated by the President of the Judging Panel for that Region. The winners will receive prizes of local objects and textiles for the adults, while the youth category will receive digital tools. All participants will receive a certificate and a copy of the collection of stories from the previous edition. The awards ceremony will be held in October at the Marugnò Multifunctional Center in Aggius. The complete application form is available on the Municipality of Aggius's official website.
