«We have come from five years of lack of planning and, even more, of failure to implement. The Region is, as never before, full of money. The problem is that we are not able to spend them. We have enormous difficulties in investing the resources of the community support framework and the Pnrr. The public apparatus must be rebuilt as soon as possible, to ensure that these resources can actually be made available to the Sardinians." The trade unions, in view of the regional elections, are asking among the first things for interventions on simplification and in strategic sectors.
The CGIL is focusing on healthcare: «Regardless of who wins, the new executive will have to reduce waiting lists and make hospitals work well», reports secretary Fausto Durante. While the Uil focuses on families and work: «The next regional council will have to put work at the center of every action as a factor of social, economic and cultural growth. We need a new pact between institutions, businesses and unions, a vision that combines development and work also with the introduction of professional training courses, in order to reduce the training gap that separates Sardinia from other Italian realities", explains the regional secretary Guido Sarritzu.
Legambiente, on the other hand, has completely turned the page: «We are waiting for the energy plan, which can be at the forefront in Italy», underlines Vincenzo Tiana, head of the association on energy issues.
