One of the topics most heard by citizens is the issue of construction sites open in the city.
«The problem of via Roma», said Claudia Ortu (Potere al Popolo-Pci), «must be addressed with common sense, trying to bring the works to completion in the shortest possible time. It would then be desirable to block the pharaonic works because we don't need them."

According to Massimo Zedda (Campo Largo), «a serious mistake was made in Via Roma: we should have thought about the infrastructure first and then about the beautification. A parking plan has not been made. Those on the Viale Trieste front must be opened immediately to avoid the collapse of economic activities."
Emanuela Corda (Alternativa) highlighted that «a serious plan for the redistribution of traffic has not been made. Too many construction sites were opened at the same time without previously evaluating the repercussions on traffic. The city is totally paralyzed." Giuseppe Farris (CiviCa 2024) is ready to make, in the event of election, «two variations underway for via Roma and the San Benedetto market to close those construction sites in three months. In via Roma the horizontal forest project by architect Boeri can be eliminated. The San Benedetto market must be left externally in its current conditions because it is a symbol of the city's identity and the project which involves the elimination of parking in the adjacent area must be remodeled."
