Born in 1980, active for over twenty years in various positions, Daniele Dore is the successor of the late Antonio Bisaccia as director of the "Mario Sironi" Academy of Fine Arts in Sassari. He was elected by majority vote: 33 votes out of the 50 cast by the teachers.
Daniele Dore was deputy pro-director, academic advisor and coordinator of the ArtLab laboratory - Resource and innovation center for high artistic craftsmanship born in 2017 as part of an Interreg Italy-France Maritime project. For years he was in the editorial staff of the magazine "Parol - Quaderni d'arte e di epistemologia", the historic Bolognese magazine founded in 1985 by Luciano Nanni and since 2009 passed to the Academy.
The new director of the Sassari academy said: «The primary objective is to carry forward the numerous and important initiatives that the Sironi Academy has underway, thanks to the work done in recent years under the authoritative and enlightened guidance of Antonio Bisaccia, some of the which are on the way. Artistic training represents a fundamental pillar for individual and social development, capable of promoting the growth of people's creative, critical and communicative abilities. Through artistic practice, a world of expressive possibilities opens up that allows you to explore emotions, ideas and perspectives in a unique and personal way. In this sense, the importance of the collaboration between the artistic souls of the Academy and the technical-administrative staff will favor the effectiveness and efficiency in the governance of our Academy, as well as the synergy with the Academic Council, the Board of Directors, the coordinators of the teaching structures, the Student Council and the Board of Professors».
Daniele Dore asked Professor Giuseppina Manca di Mores, professor of cultural and environmental heritage, to share the project in the role of deputy director.
