Abusive concert in Olbia, Salmo gets away with a 5,000 euro fine
The rapper is only contested for failure to communicate the event to the Police Headquarters
Five thousand euros: this is the price that Salmo will have to pay for the “abusive” concert on August 13, 2021 under the Ferris wheel. The criminal decree of conviction was notified to the rapper from Olbia, born Maurizio Pisciottu, back from the warm embrace, this time in perfect order, of the home crowd at the Red Valley concert. The same fine also for Alfredo Sechi, an employee of the Lupetti company that manages the wheel. In essence, the rapper is only contested for the violation of the consolidated law on public safety due to the failure to communicate the concert to the commissioner.
The investigations
The investigations carried out by the public prosecutor Gregorio Capasso, and launched the day after the concert, excluded violations other than those of the rules of the Royal decree number 773 of 1931, that is the Consolidated Law on public security laws. Therefore, no offenses or disputes concerning the anti-Covid prevention measures have been disputed. As part of the same affair, the Tuscan entrepreneur Kevin Lupetti had already been hit by an administrative fine, almost 1500 euros, imposed by the Olbia Harbor Master's Office, for the alleged improper use of the state-owned area granted to Lupetti by the Port Authority of the Sardinia. The sanction was challenged before the Justice of the Peace of Olbia. Also in this case, the defenders, the lawyers Rino Seu, Antonello Desini and Nicoletta Mani, are evaluating an opposition that seems almost certain.
The event
The 3500 people had gathered under the Ferris wheel after word of mouth on social media announcing a free surprise concert after the Water world music event twenty days earlier on a floating stage in Cala dei Sardi. And the rapper's audience was not long in coming. Salmo had claimed his performance, in a story on Instagram, as a public denunciation of the dramatic condition of entertainment workers, exhausted due to the bans imposed by the anti Covid measures. A position shared by his public which had, however, been contested by some of his colleagues. After a year, everything has changed. The controversy with Fedez ended with a handshake on the San Siro stage. To close the court case, 5,000 euros will be enough.
