The sculpture Madri del Vento by the Sassari artist and designer Genesio Pistidda has been selected for display at the “Untouchable” exhibition . The collective exhibition will be inaugurated Saturday at the ADmore Art Gallery - Lo Verso Art Studio, on the island of Giudecca n. 597- Dorsoduro district in Venice.

The sculpture, made of terracotta and laminated in Copper and Gold, is dedicated by the author to the multifaceted actress Nerina Nieddu, who recently passed away, with whom he shared a decade of collaborations and affinities in many fields of art and theatre.

The work Madri del Vento by the designer from Sassari has aroused great interest for the distant echoes that come from Nuragic bronzework, from the reference to the works of the masters Francesco Ciusa " The Mother of the Killed " and Costantino Nivola " The Mothers " which merge , in the author's artistic reworking, with the landscape of Sardinia where there are numerous rock cavities that open up along the coast and in the mountains.

Among the selected artists, Genesio Pistidda is the only artist from Sardinia. He will exhibit with Italian and foreign sculptors and designers, including Kenjiro Asaki, Teresa Bellini, Sofia Colucci, Marie Dubreuili, Inna Etuvgi, Laura Lo Verso, Alberto Lo Verso, Anna Miranda, Pietro Coppi, Kenan K, Ayfer Isik, Patrick Smith, Fernanda Volkmann and Thiago Arléo.

The exhibition was set up on the occasion of the 60th Venice Art Biennale and takes up the theme "Stranieri Ovunque - Foreigners Everywhere".
