A tail shot and Genoa catches Reggina in second place.
It was precisely the former Lecce bomber, who this season with the Grifone did not seem up to his best seasons, to solve the match against Venice a few minutes from the end: it ended 1-0 in Marassi for Gilardino's team, with the public cheering for the victory and the landing in one of the two positions in the standings that are worth direct Serie A.
A goal had also been disallowed against Genoa , again in the second half: it was a former Venice player, Aramu, who scored but was offside at the time of the shot.
Under Gilardino management, Genoa got 13 points in 5 matches.
