The strawberry tree honey from the Simaxis Arborèe farm, owned by brothers Daniele and Andrea Cossu, who have been involved in organic beekeeping in Sardinia for years, has won the Three Golden Drops, the highest recognition in the national competition "Grandi Mieli d'Italia".
The award was presented in Castel San Pietro Terme, during the 46th edition of the competition organized by the National Honey Observatory, and the winner was announced by journalist and host Patrizio Roversi. The 2026 edition saw record numbers: 616 beekeepers and 1,772 honey samples from all over Italy participated in the competition. "This is an important new recognition for us, which recognizes the work we have been carrying out with passion and dedication for over 20 years, as well as our product and the territory from which it originates. Receiving the Three Golden Drops for strawberry tree honey for the second year makes us particularly proud," explains Andrea Cossu.
