"At the moment , no signature has been affixed to even a draft agreement."

This was explained by the president of the Cagliari-Oristano Chamber of Commerce Maurizio De Pascale who was heard today in the session of the fourth and fifth commissions of the Regional Council convened to discuss the operation that should lead to the creation of a new Sardinian airport system that puts the three airports of Cagliari, Olbia and Alghero have a common factor and will be managed by a holding company in which the shareholders with the most important shareholdings will be the Chamber of Commerce of Cagliari-Oristano and F2i Ligantia which already holds 79.8% of Gaesar (Olbia ) and 71.25% of Sogeeal of Alghero.

At present, for the establishment of the holding, there is no passage with Enac, the true and sole owner of the airport, which would have asked for a further report on how to proceed with this operation, and then the steps with Mims, the antitrust , and perhaps with Anac. “We are in the dialogue phase with Enac - recalled De Pascale - Enac which has given very clear guidelines, that is, above all, minor airports must join forces to compete on the national and international market. When he has verified and examined in detail the operation that Sogaer is carrying out (under a mandate from the Chamber of Commerce) with the Ligantia shareholders, then there will be the first agreements ".

Then, he added, “ if Enac, the Ministry of Transport and the Antitrust should give the green light to the project, I believe that by the end of the year we could see the end of the process”.

Once again De Pascale reiterated that no sale is planned by the Chamber of Commerce: "If the Chamber of Commerce has to sell 0.001% of its shares , it must do so through a public tender, being a supervised public body from the Mise ".
