Fans flocked to Saint-Tropez to pay their last respects to Brigitte Bardot, despite the film superstar—who died on December 28 at the age of 91—having expressed her wish for a private funeral.

Many people attended the actress's funeral, eager to pay their respects to the late diva.

Many celebrities were also present, such as the leader of the Rassemblement National Marine Le Pen, the actor Paul Belmondo and the singer Mireille Mathieu.

Wreaths and a portrait of BB were placed at the entrance to the small church of Notre-Dame de l'Assomption. The coffin was covered in wicker with colorful flowers.

The village's iconic café, the Sénéquier, filled up with tourists and locals from early in the morning to watch from afar and pay homage to the diva of French cinema and beyond.

Bardot will rest in the Saint-Tropez cemetery, a few steps from the sea, another of her wishes.
