Faithful to Charles Dickens's celebrated tale, but adapted to the style of a musical. "A Christmas Carol Musical" arrives in Sassari for the first time, performing Wednesday at the Teatro Verdi, starting at 9:00 PM.
Director and author Melina Pellicano wanted to propose, for the BIT Company of Turin, a reinterpretation very close to Dickens's text, whose writing is already very theatrical in itself.
An important cast of over twenty artists will take to the stage, including special effects by Alessandro Marrazzo , music by Stefano Lori and Marco Caselle , original music, one hundred and fifty costumes and impressive sets.
The narrative depicts old Ebenezer Scrooge who, after the death of his business partner Jacob Marley, continues to run his business with cynical avarice, shunning all human contact even on Christmas Eve and starving his unfortunate employee Bob Cratchit. Scrooge's transformation occurs on Christmas Eve, a holiday that can be an opportunity to pause and reflect, a moment to be proactive about change. It becomes an opportunity for a courageous act of transformation, which each of us would like to make, but often forgets.
The event is organized by Danzeventi for the “ Corpi in movimento ” dance festival .
