In 12 months, 34 managers have taken turns at the helm of Sardinia's healthcare agencies: "When you do the math, each manager has changed hands three times. An indecent, frenetic, and delirious waltz of appointments."
Alessandra Todde's attack on Sardinia's healthcare management comes from Fausto Piga, deputy group leader of the Italian League (FdI) in the regional council. He also raises the alarm: "The Cagliari and Olbia local health authorities have been without managers for 50 days. The names must be submitted by February 22nd, otherwise the door opens to administration. And that would be an unprecedented humiliation."
According to Piga, "President Todde's obsession with replacing the general directors of health care is causing the regional healthcare system to collapse . A VHR system takes us back to the First Republic, 40 years ago."
The constant changes in management have "created confusion, delays, wasted time, and confusion among healthcare workers," Meloni continues. "Moreover, similar confusion has also occurred at the Department of Health, where both the general director and the councilor have been fired."
