The flu, or flu syndrome, is a respiratory disease that can manifest itself in forms of varying severity. The subjects most at risk are the elderly and those with certain types of pathologies.
It affects an average of 9% of the general population. Already in the month of September this year, in 99 countries of the world there were 5,323 cases of influenza, of which 4,706 (88.4%) were typified as influenza A and 617 (11.6%) as B.
The vaccine remains the most powerful weapon to avoid getting sick . The quadrivalent one, which contains both type A and type B antigenic variants including virus subtypes, appears to be the most complete to combat seasonal influenza.
