The death of the forestry officer, no connection to the fire
The first elements emerged from the autopsy on the body of Pietro Cabras, 28 years old, who died on Tuesday following an illness after putting out a fire in the Oristano area
The autopsy revealed no connection with the fire , no traces that could suggest poisoning.
But at the same time we cannot yet be certain about the cause of death of Pietro Cabras, 28 years old, the forestry agent from Oristano who died on Tuesday night at Brotzu after more than a day in hospital: further investigations are necessary to better understand the situation.
These are some elements of the autopsy examination carried out by the medical examiner Roberto Demontis. The Public Prosecutor's Office of Oristano has opened a file to shed light on what happened to the young ranger, who served at the Cuglieri forestry station but who for a few days had been employed at the Fenosu fire base. Pietro Cabras intervened with his colleagues on Monday afternoon to put out a fire that broke out in the countryside between Palmas Arborea and Tiria .
At the end of the operations the young man fell ill , was then rescued and transported to the hospital in Cagliari, where he died on Tuesday night. Tomorrow the funeral home will be set up at the Fenosu base.
