Furious argument in the center of Alghero, officers beaten: kicked and punched, one almost strangled

Furious argument between two non-EU citizens in via La Marmora, in Alghero . The local police officers who intervened in an attempt to calm things down also got involved in the turmoil.

One of the two men, in particular, of African origin, threw himself at the police, kicking and punching, completely out of his mind, and even tried to strangle an officer , tightening his hands around his neck. The police operator was immediately helped by colleagues.

The carabinieri of the Alghero company and an ambulance from 118 were also on site. It took eight people to immobilize the man , tall and robust, in a clear state of psychophysical alteration. The non-EU citizen was accompanied to the emergency room of the Sassari hospital for checks. He had no documents with him. The person with whom he had started the argument, however, moved away during the moments of agitation, losing track of himself .
