The funeral of Nicola Perra, the 22-year-old boy from Sinnai, who died on Sunday evening in Flumini di Quartu after crashing his Yamaha into a road sign, took place today in Sinnai in the parish church of Santa Barbara.

There was great emotion in a packed church, with many other people who listened to the mass from the square. The very young celebrant addressed Nicola "as a friend, speaking to him of his dreams, of his 22 years, of his hopes, of a life that for him continues in heaven".

And touching were the words full of sweetness for the young man's family, his father Paolo, his mother Manuela, his sister Laura, surrounded by the affection of those present. A well-known and esteemed family.

The tragedy occurred in the afternoon and evening on the Quartu coast with the young man losing control of the vehicle, which was set on fire after the crash. All attempts by rescuers to save his life were useless.
