For some time there had been rumors that drugs were being sold in a house in Uta and the town's police, having gathered various elements, organized a raid following which two people were arrested after being found in possession of over one kilo and 300 grams of cocaine.

The military carried out stakeout services to study the couple's movements and went into action when the husband, a 58-year-old, got into the car to leave the house. Having blocked the car, the police asked him a series of questions. He, already agitated, started screaming in the middle of the street, so as to allow his wife to become alarmed and get rid of the narcotic.

But the search began immediately also with canine units. Once the door was opened, the 51-year-old realized she had no escape and spontaneously handed over the cocaine. The military also recovered two precision scales and material for packaging the doses.

The couple was taken to prison pending confirmation of their arrest.
